William A Burrows
Age Group Coach
Email
Will has been coaching for BSC for 6 years, and works with
the Blue group swimmers, where the focus is on improving
technique. Will also runs the learn to swim program at our new swim
school.
Before he was a BSC coach, he swam in northern
California, and then for the CSUB swim team.
When he isn’t coaching, he is cheering for the Cowboys or
showing off his expert frisbee golf skills. His swimmers
enjoy the balance of fun and hard work that he brings to
practice.
When asked what she liked most about coach Will, one of
his swimmers recently said, “He’s funny, and he
makes good cookies.”

Coach Kim came to Bakersfield Swim Club about five
years ago when her daughter Jacqueline began her swimming
career. Kim comes from a family of strong swimmers. She
is an avid swimmer who joined BSC when she was six years old.
She continued swimming year round though her years at West High
School here in Bakersfield, at which time she also began cross
country running. West High was Valley Champs 1976-1979.
She received awards for Most Inspirational Swimmer during
those years.
In
college, Kim continued swimming. Her team was Conference
Champs 1979-1980. She was honored again
with an award for Most Inspirational Swimmer.
She graduated from CSUB with her B.A. in 1985. Kim

Coach Clerou provides an excellent foundation for mastering
proper stroke technique through structure, balance and
fun. As explained by Meghan Herron, one of her former

what she does."
